Every 25th of the month I receive my pay cheque. It is the same for this month Oct 2011. As I check my account balance and also took some cash from the ATM, I suddenly had this urge to post this. I have been wanting to post it for some time now. Seems now is the time.

After working for four years plus already, I begin to realize that I actually have the ability to earn a living and survive in this society, on my own. I really feel fortunate to have a complete physique and able to execute daily routines. And with the knowledge that I have gathered over the years(and the years to come), I would not need to beg to fill my stomach.

Of all these, none of it is of my credit! I owe all of them to three persons/angels whom appeared in my life:

Dearest Dad,

Thanks for your hard work in bringing back the bread for the family. You are truly an aspiring zero-to-hero role model to me. I have never respected a man more than yourself. I managed to live a moderately-good life since I was born till now thanks to you. What I asked(logical and reasons ones of course), you provided. No questions asked. Only God knows how much you have endured during your working career.

Dearest Mom,

It is always heart-warming to listen to all my baby stories from you. I have received the greatest care a son could have received from a mother. Whole-hearted devotion to the family you gave and still giving. Thanks for always paying attention to my studies and whacked me whenever the occasion arises. I have never appreciated the punishments until now. Truly, this IS the correct way to bring up a child like me.

Dearest Elaine,

Definitely fate brought us together. You have been the greatest companion during university study times. Sometimes, I am quite sure I could not have graduated with a decent merit without you. And then you decided to move to KL and begin your career here(although you received a good offer from Penang) so that you could be with me. Whenever I think of this sacrifice, I would just weep. It is close to 9 years now that we have been together. You can never imagine how much I appreciate this relationship.

To these guardians of my life: It has been my greatest pleasure having to have known you. In the next life, if possible, I will wish to be reborn to the same Dad and Mom and to know Elaine later in my life.

I always have different opinion with Elaine when coming to determining whether a girl is pretty(lenglui). Obviously, we have different tastes but I think mine is better. Elaine will disagree but let you readers decide. For me, lengluis are like..

1. Joey Wong (王祖贤)

Born: 1967

Quan's remarks: Classical lenglui that was a lenglui back in late 80s, still considered lenglui by today's standards, and foresee will be the same in the near future.

2. Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄)

Born: 1975

Quan's remarks: No guy in this world will deny that she is a lenglui. You will hope that she was the girl next door. Totally leng and very talented in music too. Lyricist.

3. Fala Chen (陳法拉)

Born: 1982

Quan's remarks: Oh my god..those killer dimples!

4. Belinda Chee

Born: 1982

Quan's remarks: Local lenglui! Hooked on to her when she hosted shows on 8tv. Already married and expecting first child.

Quan's remarks: Local lenglui again! She hosts the best mandarin news ever! Totally sweet looking and perform so well when anchoring the news. Wished she'd read the news to me everyday. And, she's from the same university as mine but I never knew her. FML! Already married.

Mr Q works in Company A. He has been a hardworking employee(at least that is what he believes). As of now, Mr Q has been working in the said company for three years plus already. Actually, Company A is not bad(that is why he managed to stay for three years), his bosses(there are a lot of bosses in Company A) are all nice people, but Mr Q still feels he is overworked and underpaid.

One fine day, Company M called Mr Q up to see if he is interested to work for them. Out of curiosity Mr Q went to the company to listen to what opportunity is laid for him there. Actually, Company M is of a smaller size than Company A, much much smaller in fact. The work Mr Q is expected to perform there is almost of the same nature that he has been performing in Company A. However, Company M could provide a monthly salary which is 37.5% more than Company A. Mr Q was quite excited!

As mentioned, Mr Q loves Company A and his bosses. He went to discuss this new-found opportunity with his boss(let's call him Mr J) to see what his boss thinks. Mr J is such a knowledgeable person and Mr Q values his opinion highly. After listening to Mr J's two-cents and also a long night of thought, Mr Q decided to kindly turn down Company M's offer and to stay put in Company A for the time being.

Just a little more than a week after turning down Company M's offer, Mr Q got another opportunity to have an interview with Company S! Company S is doing something different from Company A and M. Actually, what Company S is doing is what Mr Q has always wanted to learn and explore. Mr Q was successful in his application. Company S could provide a monthly salary which is 33.75% more than Company A. Mr Q has more or less made up his mind this time.

Mr Q went on the tender his resignation to Company A. Unexpectedly to Mr Q, this triggered a frenzy as Mr Q's boss, boss's boss, boss's boss's boss, were notified and all called him to request him to stay with Company A. Mr Q's boss's boss(let's call him Mr A) asked him out to a cup of coffee to discuss on this issue. Mr Q knows Mr A but rarely speaks to him. During the coffee, Mr Q got to know Mr A a bit more and was immediately attracted with his charismatic leadership. Mr A believes Company A will be able to counter-offer Mr Q in order for him to stay on. Mr Q also hinted a number that he will be satisfied with. However, because of the huge size of Company A and the many legislation involved, Mr A could not solely decide on money matters but he will fight for it for Mr Q. Mr Q was quite touched by Mr A's sincerity.

That afternoon, Mr A called Mr Q to inform the counter-offer by the Company A is 33.75% more and a promotion to Senior. To be truthful, Mr Q is quite disappointed with this number as he feels it is just a bit more than of Company S's and it could not compensate for the knowledge that he will not obtain if he was to stay on with Company A.

Mr Q sighs, "It's time to go."

p/s: After accepting Company S's offer, unexpectedly, Company M called Mr Q again. Company M asked what was the reason that he turned down the offer and could they counter-offer? Mr Q is completely STUNNED! He has never expected a company of that size could actually do this in order to get the man it needs. He is more saddened by the fact that Company A could not have done the same for him. However, Mr Q has no regrets as an adventure awaits him in Company S. Mr Q again kindly turned down the offer but Company M's name will remain in his mind for a long long time.

Difference between Neutral and Ground/Earth

I just realized that my last post was in November 2009!!! It has been 8 months since I last blogged..haha. Spiderwebs here and there. =P

Today out-of-the-blue, we are going to talk about Electrical Engineering! I noticed I have not actually written anything useful/constructive yet in my blog(haha), but this shall be a start.

My colleagues and I were discussing something over tea time lately and one interesting topic was "What's the difference between Neutral and Ground"? It seems quite simple at first but later on each of us had different understanding on the topic. So here I am, presenting to you MY UNDERSTANDING on this topic(it might be totally wrong..shitz) and would like to invite fellow engineers/muggles to give your two cents.

Please follow the picture sequence below(I hand sketched wan!):

Imagine the power generated in the power plant(somewhere out there) as an AA battery. To distribute this electricity to us, logically it would require two transmission lines, i.e. to complete the circuit. However, this method(two long cables) might be a bit expensive.

So some wise guy thought, "Why don't we use the ground/earth as the conductor for the return path?" Maybe after some study and experiments it is proven that ground is a good conductor, thus the above concept was born(neutral point of the generator is earthed). Minus one cable..cool!

When the transmission lines reach distribution transformers, there will be a delta-to-star transformation of the power and here, the star/neutral point of the transformer is earthed. From here on, we will start the Neutral lines and L-N lines will go to our homes. (Notice oh, when transmission time only Live lines, but distribution time have Live and Neutral lines d.)

If we look at the power socket in our homes(for Commonwealth countries), on the bottom-right would be the L and bottom-left is N. On the top-centre is Earth which is actually connected to a metal rod planted below the ground of our home. In normal cases, the current will flow from L to some load in our home and back to N. However, if there is a leakage(say the Live supply is suddenly shorted to the body/casing of the appliances), luckily the body is connected to Earth already so there would be an alternative path for the current to flow to..NOT THROUGH THE HUMAN BODY..phheewww! In any case, there are always MCB, ELCB/RCCB to protect us.

So in conclusion(on the difference between Neutral and Ground/Earth):

1.1 From the Generation side, the Neutral and Earth have the same common point.

1.2 Neutral/Earth is this case would act as the return path of the supply.

2.1 From the Distribution side, we start to run the Neutral lines.

2.2 Neutral in this case would be the return path of the supply.

2.3 Earth is still available but normally there will be no current flowing, only during supply leakage.

DONE.

This Sunday is a great Sunday indeed. Not working and no calls from company nor clients. Great great day..so far.

I hadn't been blogging for quite some time already. Sometimes I have this great need to write something down, but when I turn on the PC, I'd rather be facebooking instead. Such is the power of FB! Or, I'd be watching some great performances on youtube (or some funny baby videos that I like alot..hehe).

This is not going to be a picture-filled post, though I really have quite a number of photos I'd like to share. Today, we are going to talk about something serious--your life! For those who are unaware, I just turned 25 last 2nd of Nov 2009. I'm like what..quarter-of-a-century old?

Have you had those moments when you thought, "Oh man..I'm not young any more..I should have achieved something already!!!" I'm having those moments more and more lately. Jiin mentioned that she doesn't want to be a cheap labour and urban poor any more. I guess she must've had those moments too. I'm sure nobody wants to be a cheap labour but if you really REALLY feel despised on being treated unequal of your talent and true capability, you should be doing something about it.

#1 You could start being your own boss!
Wait, should I be opening a shop and selling something? But..I have no modal, renting a place, electricity and water, everything is money.

#2 Fear not, because of the great INTERNET, you could sell something online!
But, wtf, everybody's doing this already! What are you going to sell? Teenagers clothes with lots of fancy photos and stuffs? Erm, not sure if that's gonna work these days.

You know what, all of these are excuses. There's this devil in your mind called "Lazy" which is influencing you and telling you that you are doing great at whatever you are doing. Why try something new? It might be risky and dangerous! To tell the truth, this devil is quite strong in my mind. I hate it when he's limiting what I should try or do..but what he's saying sounds so "true" (wtf, the last sentence actually rhymes!).

Ok, let's say I do not have talent of being a boss. Then I shall be the best employee ever and climb up the corporate ladder. You know what, a new Regional Business Unit Manager aka Big Boss will be coming to work in my company soon and I heard he's only 34! Of course he is angmoh and sometimes that helps too but I guess somehow, he must have something extra that propels him to the top at the shortest time.

I'm in the midst of finding this quality!!! How can you be a top performer, where you will not be envied by your boss, and your boss will so appreciate you that he will give you a promotion? Erm..how how? Should we stay in the same company for a long time to climb the ladder, or should be jump here and there when there's opportunity?

Small talk: Just came back from lunch with YC, SP, and SP's hubby. I see SP's face, full of happiness. Guess that's what you get when you're married. Really nice seeing you ppl after so long!

Hi there, long time didn't mem-blog. This Merdeka holiday came at the rightest time. Gave me abit of time to do some personal things.

Anyway, HAPPY MERDEKA! We must be 1Malaysia ok? At least 8% GDP growth every year till 2020 to achieve developed country status. Stop cutting cow's head ok? Malaysia Boleh!

So, I just returned from Shanghai actually..expecting a quiet and peaceful long weekend when suddenly, unwanted call from company received. I see the caller I already know d, FUCK. To make the story short, there is this problem at site(a really simple one but nobody knows/wants to solve it) which requires my immediate presence to resolve.

Wah, sungguh tak cekap la, nice Sunday morning need be at customer's place at 8am in PD. Told Elaine and my family about it. They weren't too happy but understood my situation. Because I know the nature of the problem at site so I promised that it'll be a quick one and I would come home in the afternoon. After that, I went out for my cyber/yumcha session with the guys. It was a real nice evening until eventually goddamned unlucky Arsenal lose to the CCB ManU. I was feeling moody alright.

When I returned home, my parents told me they were gonna fetch me down to PD 2ml while they go jalan-jalan there. I was like wtf, noneed la, i not small kid anymore, i could drive there myself la. They insisted, saying they wan go jalan-jalan coz boring at home, long weekend etc. I eventually gave in. =)

How many of you guys got kena fetch to work by ur parents b4? Haha. I can proudly say I HAVE and totally not ashamed at all! We left home at 6am and all the way I kept saying thanks to them coz teman me on a boring job assigment. We stopped by Seremban for breakfast and reached PD site at 8. All in all, the work was around 15minutes and rest of the time was waiting for them to retransfer the power. Left working place at 10:30am. Hahaha..

Mom was telling how they jalan'ed the whole PD during that time. She confirmed to me that PD beach is confirm condemned to max. Impossible to swim in it seeing how dirty the water was. Couldn't agree more. We left straight for home and managed to fetch my bro and sis for lunch. They just woke up wtf. (I really terikut how sweatlee blogs coz really cute to put a wtf unintentionally at the end of some sentences)

The conclusion is: I'm glad that a nice family Sunday has seemed undisturbed by my impromptu job assignment. And I am super happy, lucky, and grateful that I have the wonderfulest and bestest family ever. If I was to be reborn, I would like to be reborn into this same family~~

Food on long haul flights [Economy Class]

Recently I had a business trip to Tampa, Florida, US of A..and man..that is a place really FAAAARRRRRRRRRR from home.

I was away for a total of 7 days and working days were 3 days. I spend 4 days just travelling(flights + waiting time)..WTF!!!

I had to go to Singapore > Frankfurt > New York > Tampa. The stop-overs are because MAS doesn't have an economy class flight from KL to New York on weekends..wtf.
However, I took Singapore Airlines and I must say..it's really good(from flight services to loyalty programme)! Asia airlines CONFIRM beat western airlines anytime.

Today, i'm gonna share on the F&B services on the long trip i've endured. Because the trip is so fucking long, you get to eat alot of meals on the plane..and some of them are actually pretty good! I even took some photos of them and scanned the menu for your perusal. Do enjoy..

Heya! Next Friday going to touchdown in Malaysia. Can't wait!

Received an email from Phang yesterday. The title was "Princess Aiko of Japan".
I really like to read Phang's forwarded emails because they are always very delightful/fei/pat!

And so i was reading the content of this mail which "supposedly" contain pictures of the first child of Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako. Then half way I thought, "Wait a minute, Princess Aiko is look like this meh?" So as usual, i went to seek my great sifu - Google and "he" kinda shown me some of the Princess Aiko's photos that "he" owns. AHA, i guess Phang's email was fake.

Nevertheless, the girl in the pictures was so CUTE that i selected 3 photos to be shown here. I really like children..especially cute ones! Hahaha..

Living standard in Vaasa, Finland

Hey there, it's the weekend again! I'm just back from an adventure i must say. Cycling in the snow for 30km! Maybe more about that in coming posts.

Today we are going to talk about living standard in this place that i have already stayed for 3 weeks now. 2 more weeks and i'll be back to MY. This place is a little town in Finland called Vaasa. Let's see photos!

A super small hotel room, one nite = 90EUR

A complete apartment(2 rooms, kitchen, sauna) rental, one day = 50+EUR

A Pepsi = 1.5 to 2EUR
Note: All shops and restaurants sell soft drinks in bottle forms only! No cans.

Lipton Tea(50 pkt) = 3+EUR
Note: I consider this super cheap.

Laundry powder = 3+EUR

Microwavable frozen pizza = 3+EUR

A huge nice pizza from a pizza house = 6EUR
Note: This is like the cheapest food here. The next is McD.

A complete meal from HesBurger(local version of McD) = 7+EUR

Fly lice and olen jus in a chinese restaurant = 10EUR
Note: Chinese food expensive!

Nice western meal complete with a beer = 20EUR

A cider = 5EUR
Note: Cider is now my favourite beer!

Bicycle rental for a day = 5EUR

Going to a ice hockey game(standing, no seat) = 14EUR
Note: It was a bit more expensive because it was the final.

Going to the toilet in McD = 1EUR!
Note: I completely cannot understand why there is a need to pay to pee. Not only here but everywhere else.

One year working with Company A

Bored in a foreign land

Hi there, dunno why, suddenly got feel wan blog, so here it is.

Today was a benefitial day. I learned about IEC61850 Goose Messaging in training! Haha, you really don't need/want to know about that.

Today's a shiny day as well. Shinniest i must say, ever since i've been here. The snow are starting to melt. They were saying that we are lucky to be here during this period because we could see two seasons in one trip - end of winter and beginning of spring.

So my training life here is like:

1. Wake up 6:30am and 7:30am take bus to company

2. Training course starts and it ends at 4pm

3. Take bus back to apartment

4. Check office mail(Malaysia) and start do office stuffs(my gawd, i hate this. training here but still need support homeland)

5. Dinner

6. Back to do office stuff if still not done yet

7. Online online online (facebook, digg, youtube, you-name-it)

As you can see, life like this is quite the sien. Looking forward to the weekend though. Last week we went skiing and this week they are planning to go to Sweden using ferry. Wow! Ok, will see how it progresses.

So back to the title "Bored in a foreign land". Gosh, i miss Elaine and my family alot. So kesian her alone there nobody teman. Really feel she is very wei da. Come here(central region) work so we could be together always. She got an offer to go Penang but she refused(but now think good also la, semicon industry situation now). Then the baddest thing i did - dump her in Company P and went to Company A. Haih, dunno wat to say. Me = bad bad bad. Luckily she is quite well compensated there(aha!) so she's not complaining much. Well, she doesn't ever complain. Such good and kind girl she is.

So mostly when i'm in the apartment i look at the screen of my beloved company laptop - a Lenovo T60. I really "lap" you very much. You were there with me through "thick and thin". Wakaka.

I dunno about you guys but i use Google Reader to keep track of all the blogs/feeds I read. I was brought to this site of a wonderful young lady(omg, i am sibeh old d) which is studying in the States. This is the type of blog where she tells about her daily life, her fashion style, how she's so in love with her bf, etc. IT'S SO NICE!!! It's simple, easy to read(with lots of pics) and keeps bring back the memories when Elaine and I was studying in UTM. Haiyor, think of it oso happy =). We used to stick together and read blogs like this(we are sibeh 8 ppl). Seeing young couples together like this makes me very happy leh, y ar?

YEAH!!! Holiday 2ml. Syiok-nye.
Finally got some free time to blog d.
The long awaited(ahem, okla nobody waiting oso) Finland and Amsterdam post is finally done!
With lots of photos(as usual, lazy ma).
All in all, it was generally a nice trip. Virgin trip to Europe!
Hopefully can go again some time in the future.

Finland - Vaasa

Thanks to my dear company, I was given a chance to go to Finland for some product user meeting. There's this branch situated in a small town called Vaasa(one hour flight from Helsinki) - that's where I'm headed to.

Unbelievably small. 90EUROs!

Who would pay 12EUROs for a porno?

Nice autumn feel.
But it was a wrong time to go ler, strong winds, rain, etc.
Didn't get to see snow oso.

That's about it for Finland. I have more photos but it's about work so I think won't feature here.

The Netherlands - Amsterdam

Oh, I forgot to mention that my trip to Vaasa costs me around a whole 24hrs! CCB!
KLIA - Singapore - Amsterdam - Helsinki - Vaasa

There's no direct flight from Malaysia to Finland so I gotta use this route.
Since I'll be changing flights in Amsterdam so under the super kindness of my super cool company, managed to stop by two days in Amsterdam during the trip back.
Of coz the expenses there paid by myself la.

I stayed in this SUPER COOL hotel called CitizenM that's just beside Schipol Airport.

Mahai, the room yau so small wan. 75EUROs.
But much more worth it than the one in Vaasa ler.

This hotel was built with trend/youngsters/futuristic/etc in mind and it found Philips as its technology partner.
All rooms are equipped with a gadget called the Mood Pad which could allow you to control every-f**king-thingy in the room. For eg,

How bout pink for the girls?

Maybe green for the environmentalists?

Very the easy to go around with everything in English.

Did I mention that everything is so f**king expensive in Europe?
That time I change money the rate is RM4.98 for 1EURO leh.
After I come back only the EURO drop like shit.
Bad timing.

This is the best money I spent in the entire Europe trip.
7.50EUROs for a super delicious breakfast set.

Damn geli. There are these urinals situated around the city for men.
Dare to piss there ma gentlemen?
I is dun dare and I ended up spending 0.40EUROs(twice) for toilet entries in one mall.
That's RM2 per entry guys.

There's a fun fair in town.
I dunno what's this called but it's available in Genting wan, just near the entrance.
But look at this, it's sooooooooo high up in the air!

There are so many meseums/art galleries there man.
Went into this wan and pura-pura damn atas like that "xin shang" all the paintings, sculptures, etc.

Oh, this is nice to mention. Dunno Malaysia got ma. Maybe got kot.
There's this fast food shop where the food(burgers, hotdogs, etc) are put in these glass, oh my, wat is the word - compartments?
So you slide in your coins, open the "door"(hehe), and take your food out.
I tried a burger and it's really not bad!

The supposed "fun" side of Amsterdam - The Redlight District:

Where are the girls by the windows?!?
Photography not allowed k, so take the windows instead. Haha.

Overall, I feel Amsterdam too over rated ler. Buat like so happening like that but go there quite disappointed.
Maybe I din try the "coffee shops" ler, hehe. That's y not "high" enough.
Everything is so commercialized there too with thousands of tourists flooding the streets(really wan). Want to walk abit oso hard.

Remember I had two days in Amsterdam before I leave for Malaysia?
I decided that one day of Amsterday city was enough so the next day impromptu-ly(wah, can like this use the word?) I went to another small town not far from Schiphol Airport.

The Netherlands - Leiden

These are not real working windmills though. These used to be working ones but they are not needed nowdays so serve as deco only.
Actually I plan to go and see the really working ones but the place really far from the airport(near the sea wan) so in the end din go.

This small town is so nice ler. Another canal city.
Everything like so relax there nia.
Literally, you can imagine the ppl there got no work to do but to "hang gai" and drink coffee for few hours then continue hang gai again. Haha.

Hey there, haven't been blogging for some time. Today beria-ria went to search my photo albums and think I could blog something about my trip to Vietnam last September(mahai, how time passes!!).

Basically it's just a photoblog(i'm lazy as usual) but this time it contains something about my work. So thought you all might be interested.

There's this river in front of my hotel. Very nice indeed to look at it while having dinner after a tiring day at work.

I only travel between work place and hotel and usually have my meals in the hotel.

Ever wondered what the hell E-quan is doing? Well, just not to be too specific, my work quite oftenly involves going to an Oil Refinery.
Bet you all never see an oil refinery before rite? You all are in luck this time..

Going to this site makes me think about Red Alert 2 nia. For the guys, remember how we use to play the game and we would like build a refinery by clicking on the refinery structure and placing it on the map and WALAH..we have a refinery in 15 seconds.
This is like the real thing man! It takes so much man and machine power to built one. Really impresses me.

One weekend my colleagues there brought me to the beach. Not very impressive but beats PD anytime.

We had seafood after that. This is something like Teocheow Steam Fish.

You could eat it by wrapping the fish using this
something-like-wantan-idea-but-the-material-is-more-like-paper-
or-maybe-thin-fuchuk-skin kinda thingy.
Oh yeah, you put some vege in the wrapping too.

The good old glass bottle coke. SYIOK!

I'm still in Vietnam..damn. The ppl are really frenly and nice here..but the work. Really not easy.

So i was having dinner in the hotel and this waitress say that I'm hansem (~blush~). Maybe she was being polite. =P

At the working place, we need to sit a car to get to certain places that we can't go by foot. So there're these jeep drivers(guys) incharged of driving everyone around the work place.

I was being fetched by one today. Just me and him. We had a little chat(via simple Engrand). He's like 26 and he's amazed that a guy as young as I am(ahem, just 24 you know) is working here.

During the course of the journey he suddenly popped up this:

Hey guys, i'm currently in Quang Ngai, Vietnam for a job assignment. Will be here till the 9th of Oct. Haih.

Very the sien here. Lucky still got ADSL and satellite TV.

Been travelling a whole damn lot lately. Till i quite scared thinking about it. But the nice part about this travelling was: Meeting my coursemates! Syiok, it's so nice seeing everybody after so long.

First stop: Malacca
Met HockPoh and Clarence here. Kelian, only they both there. Haha. They both are the same! HP still so fei and all. It was really nice listening to HP's germany trip and CC's taiwan trip. Din manage to see HP gf. Rupanya not working there, that's y la. And really thanks come fetch me and spend me dinner ler. Remember you both promised come klang for bahkuteh. Dun ffk me.

Next: Penang
Had a job in Sg Petani and thought of: Since such a long journey to the north, sure must go visit the Penangites! Met YenPin, YeeVoon, SzeLek, and Annie there. All of them are the same as well. SzeLek nice lor, go Amadika for few months. YP and YV still loving couple as always, sure kahwin soon. Annie oredi kahwin. Haha..just jk. Everyone is real fine here. Lek-go going to be promoted to Assistant GM soon, in-charge to company expansion and internal system coordination.
Oh yeah, must mention this: I stayed in B-Suite hotel. Superb room for RM125 per nite.

Next: Singapore
Went for a training there. Managed to catch up with MeiYi, HooiEan, and HooiMin. They all really nice ler. Bring me dinner and jalan-jalan after that. Listen to their working life interesting betul. Beza between malaysians and singaporeans, haha. Esp MY's stories. Thanks bring me go minum in Clark Quay ha. Lowkei, Hooters nice hor? Haha.
Learned one word there: Chiong (as in rush to the scene that "rush"). Din know can like this use: Yesterday I went to "chiong" with my colleagues = Yesterday, I went clubbing with my colleagues. Haha.

Next: KL
Well, KL is not actually a trip per se. But anyway, the central region gang comprising of myself, Elaine, YewFatt, KamTat, Lowkei and gf, went out to have a farewell with IanCing who will be relocating back to her lau jia for her new job in Malacca. She'll be HP's colleague then. Happy bor, HP? Lowkei planned go itu Souled-Out in hartamas wan mana tahu that nite they having private function and it's closed. CCB betul. End up went somewhere near there for japanese food and some minum. Hope IC will suit well to her new job. All the best!

Now: Vietnam
Haih, no coursemates here of course. Just hoping that time passes quickly. Can't wait to be back.
The ppl here are frenly though. And the traffic here is crazy. I was in a car that day and the journey was really like in the movies, with a bus coming straight at you and you narrowly escaped that type. Oh yeah, honking is their favourite hobby. =P

Next: Finland
I really hope everything would turn out well. That i get back from Vietnam on time, one week to prepare, and off i go on my first Europe trip! Really looking forward to that. Having a meeting/training there. Made the flight schedule ngam ngam so i could stop by Amsterdam for two nites. Haha. Pray pray that everything will go smoothly. Paling penting is i leave Vietnam according to schedule. Dowan to be delayed here.

My Mon Kaputed on Me

Wow, I hate Fridays man. It has been hell of a week in the office and everything must come crashing down on Friday, ccb. Yor, really very busy lately..sien sien.

Sorry for not updating in a very long time. Because = no time! Anyway, later tonite I'll go Genting watch Alan Tam's concert. Syiok! A small escape before I face a whole new problematic week ahead, haha.

Recently my loyal 5-year-plus-maybe-6-year old 15" Samsung 153v LCD Monitor kaputed on me man. Damn sad. I playing Facebook a while then the mon went blank(dark). After that, got burnt smell coming out. Walau, damn scared.

So, dengan sangat semangat I went to pry open the mon to see what burnt-ler. Well, if you like to see, I've included some photos:

In the end, I couldn't tahan d ler and decided to buy a new one. Before this I was thinking of sending it to fix. But dunno-lar, always feel will kena tiok by doing this and at the same time scared if fixed d dunno when will fail again cause old already-ma.

What an experience!

I went to work at 8am on Friday and left the office at 7:30am on Saturday. WTF!
This is my first time working 24hrs straight. This is crazy man.

The products were supposed to be packed and shipped out on Sat but they weren't even ready on Fri. It's always like this: When bad things don't come, they don't. When they do, they come all at once.
-Wrong design
-Faulty parts
-Incomplete wiring
-Wrong wiring
-and other fucks

Product oh product. Please don't explode on site. I dowan to go to site to fix you. Haha.

But it was a good experience. Really. To see this small bunch of grass roots of the organization working their asses off makes me feel touched and emotional. These are the guys who make the organization work! How I wish there were some bosses around who would buy us dinner/supper and motivate us on. But there were none, zero, nil, zilch. You know la, Friday ma, work late, siao meh.

I heart Volleyball!

Just came back from one day trip down to Melaka. Tiring betul. Woke up at 4:30am for the trip. Now I can go inside the Petronas Refinery in Sg. Udang d. Not that it means anything to you. Haha. Nevermind.

I had the most wonderfullest volleyball practice yesterday. There's this friendly-sportsmanship-mengeratkanhubungan match between my company and the singapore branch coming soon in august and i'm trying out to represent my company. HUIYOH...cheh.

So there's like this practice every week but yesterday's was special betul. Cukup in-form(in my humble opinion lah). Could do some paria spikes(haha), and paling best was set one cekap one for my teammate. And he spiked wonderfully! Din know assist is so fun! Wah made, i so syiok sendiri now. Wakakakakaa. Beh tahan.

More good news, i've been shortlisted! Actually there are not many to choose from oso la(paiseh to say but like nobody interested in volleyball nia). But happy oso la. Can play happy d.

marks the day that I've been a part of the working community for a WHOLE YEAR!
I dunno I should be happy or unhappy. XD

During this course, I've changed job once. At the beginning I thought I really made a wrong move but I'm glad I've finally adapted to the change. I'm also beginning to like the job already.

I'm hoping this coming year there'll be more opportunities/goodies coming my way and I'm sure to seize them once they come. =)

I just had a wonderful weekend with Elaine. Seperti biasa, we went to gai-gai in shopping malls again instead of gym n sports at the club. We fail everytime, haih. Tummy oh tummy, please go away.

Ok, this time wan kai siao u all one eating place. Elaine n I had always wanted to try this but this time only we berjaya-ed. It's called Tony Roma's. Currently it's available in Sunway Pyramid and Damansara Cineleisure nia. This restaurant is famous for its RIBS! SYIOK!

TR = Ribs, Seafood, Steaks.

I dunno about you but for beef, i prefer beef pasty(think TGI burger), and ribs more than steak. Tak tau appreciate the greatness of steak, fail, haha. Our first impression of this restaurant was: "Why so like TGI Friday's wan?". But nevertheless, the ambience was really nice and cozy, with dimmed lights and all.

So we were shown to our table and this really cute waitress(Elaine oredi killed me many times for this, haha) called Pamela(more about her later) served us for the night. These were what we ordered:

The ribs were very nice! Although i felt that they would be nicer if they weren't so dry. The fish boleh tahan juga. But Elaine and I both felt that the nicest was:

THE DESSERT!

Elaine is crazy about desserts. This is called TR’s Chocolate Avalanche. What was so nice about it was the molten chocolate cake which was still warm and served with cold ice-cream and topped with chocolate crumbles. Nice combo. SYIOK is the word.

Ultimately, it was a fine dining experience. The bill end up to RM100+. I guess we'll just have to work harder to enjoy like this, haha.

This post must be quite interesting. I think most of us have been wondering this:
Which pizza chain serves the best pizzas?

When talking about pizza chains in Malaysia, we can't help but to compare the largest two:
Pizza Hut and Domino's

So on a fine Thursday evening(that was last Thu), we've decided to have a PIZZA PARTY just to determine the BEST!
Well, you can't possibly taste two type of pizzas in one location so we've decided to order them and eat at Elaine's place.

Pizza Hut Malaysia had just set up their online ordering service so this enables me to test both of their delivery systems besides testing their taste. Good!

After some deliberation, we've decided to order as follows(we took the promotion deals):

Both of the online systems were good. Intuitive GUI and all.
Well, of course 30 minutes of delivering time of Domino's doesn't mean it's better-lar, cause it's dependant on your location and its nearest branch.

Pizza Hut arrived first. Took 44 minutes. Ok, not bad.

Domino's took 36 minutes. It's not too late either.

But since we're doing a comparison, so ok, delivery time Pizza Hut wins!

I'm actually wuliao enough that I prepared score cards for us to give marks to.
We didn't use it cause others felt that I'm too wuliao to be taken for serious. Haha.
But overall we were unanimous with our decisions on the Looks, Smell, and Taste.

Looks: (Refer to above)

Smell: Hard to determine. But YewFatt said when opening Domino's box, he could smell the aroma of the freshly baked pizzas, whereas almost none for Pizza Hut's.

Taste:
Pizza Hut
- Island Supreme(Regular Pan): Not bad. Everyone liked the sauce.
- Hawaiian Chicken(Crunchy Crust): Total mess. The back of the pizza was over toasted. It tasted even worse when it got cooler.
- Deli Wings: Unsurprisingly, the chicken emerged champion from the package. Haha.

Domino's
- Chicken Pepperoni(Classic Hand Tossed): It's the best looking pizza from the four. Tastes not bad also.
- Spicy Sausage(Crunchy Thin Crust): It's the tastiest pizza from the four. It came as a surprise as we were only experimenting with the Spicy Sambal Sauce series.

Taste wise, Domino's wins hands down!

Overall, two regular Domino's pizzas cost us RM30.00.

Pizza Hut's two regulars and 4 deli wings costs us RM32.66.

Price wise Pizza Hut wins! Really affordable.

So you judge for yourself the next time you decide to eat pizza. For me, I guess I'll probably go for Domino's. Nevertheless, different branches might prove to be different. Maybe Pizza Hut tastes better in other locations. Which's the best pizza in your area?

Recently, our local korean tv station(8TV) is airing a korean drama called "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince". Got watch ma?

I got watch a few episodes. It's damn fei and wuliao man i tell u. Who watch is kinda s****d. But i feel this show is not about the show(what the heck am i talking), but it's more about the main actor..(ahem)..main actress Yoon Eun Hye.

Hi all. Me still on leave. Syiok ni. Haha.

Today watched CJ7 in the newly opened TGV cinema in AEON bukit tinggi. The movie was quite ok, not as bad as i heard it was. Actually the cinema itself might have contributed abit. The cinema is really good(it's new ma), and the seat is high till can support head and neck(goodbye TGV bukit raja). Watching KungFu Dunk tomolo nite pula..hehe.

I dunno u all know anot, i really love the piano as a musical instrument although i've never learned how to play one(of coz i can play abit since i got learn itu Electone la but that's not the point). I love it not becoz it can play really keng punya classical music(coz i dun like classical anyway), but i love it becoz it's like an instrument with class. Wah ceh.

I've always imagined growing up and having a large and comfortable home(like every other human being, haaha). Just in case that happens(hehe), i would also like to throw in an area(probably near the living hall), where i can put a Grand Piano. ONLY the Grand Piano. Which in my opinion, will make the house even more atas lor.

First hor, i thought my grand piano must be WHITE COLOUR!

Becoz white equals rare, rare is good. Rare is atas..haha.

But this perception of white is cekap is also mainly came from Richard Clayderman. He plays the white piano really too shuai d!

Born 1953. Wah piang, older than my father. I pernah watch his concert in Genting ler.

Then later on(when i was older), i was "wiser". White no good. Very easy dirty wan. Somore i won't really maintain(since i'm f**king lazy). I might as well get a BLACK COLOUR one. Got class somore easy maintain(but actually black hard maintain oso la..hehe).

Then as time passed, more piano makers came up with creative designs for pianos. It was when this type of pianos came out that i changed my mind from black to this..

I must have a TRANSPARENT piano! Wah-phewit, nothing can be more atas than this.

So as you can see..taste boleh-lah berubah dari masa ke masa. Haha. The latest piano that i'm attracted to is nothing fancy(it's not even a Grand, just an Upright Piano). However, it's a DESIGNER piano. It's called the YAMAHA RADIUS.

Oh, such a modern design that will fit so perfectly into modern homes nowadays.

Happy New Year everyone. For those born in 1984(like myself), it's our year..the rat year. Tanpa diduga, the chinese horoscope thingy sudah pusing 2 times d..24 years old this year. This is not good..not good at all. Haha.

Anyway, for the past one month it was really eventful! Met up with so many UTM coursemates..nice neh. It's really wonderful that we're still so close even after graduation. Must cherish oh.

As usual, i'll let the pictures do the talking. I'll also add some comments so u'll know who the persons in the pictures are and how are they doing lately..just in case u're back from UK and dunno anything all. Hehe. We'll proceed chronologically..

Hi, haven't been blogging for aeons. Quite busy with project lately as it is reaching the peak phase. Everynite come home oredi very tired d. Only one thing in mind - dinner and sleep (ooppss, that's two things). But that will change now..

Recently something BIG happened in the company that i'm working in now. A colleague of mine passed away.

It was a lazy wednesday as i went to work (after a public holiday on tue). Checked my mail and saw this mail from the admin support:

We are sorry to announce that our colleague Pang Wei Qiang has passed away yesterday..

I was like, "WTF, this kinda thing make joke very fun meh?!?" It was till a few moments later that i found out it wasn't a joke and it hit me like a BANG. He was gone..forever.

That day I felt the reality of life.

To tell the truth, i was abit frustrated and angry that everyone proceeded with their daily routines and it was as though nothing had happened. Just another colleague down with MC and absent for the day.

I felt cold. Very cold indeed.

I'm not saying that everyone is feeling-less but after that i realized that actually everyone was feeling the same. He is gone, but what can we do about it? We feel sad but should we cry it out loud? I don't think so.

I thought the same.

Pang Wei Qiang, one year my senior. That'll make him at the age of 24. 24-year-old young man, dead. Cause of death: Still unknown to me. I was informed that he was sleeping and did not wake up after that.

What makes his death such a big impact on me was because he works in the same 4-person cubicle as i am. And he was just asking me a question on programming (marshalling to be exact) on monday evening. I didn't know that would be the last conversation btw me n him.

Pang, u're such a kind and generous person. I remember when i shifted to your cubicle, you're the first person who greeted me. You, LeeYean, and Chow were always so so kind to offer me tidbits and whatnots whenever you had any. I can remember the verses clearly. Especially yours calling out to me, "YiQuan, YiQuan, 来吃, 来吃, 还有很多 leh." (YiQuan, come eat la. Still got alot leh.) Pang, u were also one of the persons i referred to whenever i had any C# or configuration management questions. You were never ever stingy on sharing your knowledge. I can never thank you enough for lending a helping hand to a newbie like me.

Pang, i'm sorry i never got to know you better. Wherever you are now, I wish you peace.

To everyone that's reading this, go home to your family. It doesn't matter if you give your parents, your sibblings, your other half, your children, a hug, a kiss, or any sweet words. U'll be surprised that your mere presence means a whole lot to them.

Lastly, i have a request to God(or whoever is behind this whole universe thingy). Please let children have longer lives than their parents. It's not f**king right to see your children die b4 you, EVER!

Guess where was I that time?

Made, then it all came back to me. That was like my virgin outing to a club. The place was packed. We couldn't find any parking so decided to park at road side. There was this guy there who said, "Can park wan. Pay rm5. We oredi pay kopi lui to the police. No worries wan." You can guess the story from here on...

I guess he must have removed the summon paper from my(and many others parking at the roadside that nite) windscreen in the order to show his "integrity". Cheebye betul.

Then I told Uncle Vernon about it. Cipet, he oso kena. How unfortunate are we? We(some innocent beings), just wanted to have a nice time~~~

It's been such a long time since i blogged. Can't blame la. My life so uneventful(not to say it's a bad thing) lately that i have nothing much to share. This raya oso din go anywhere, teman family go gai-gai nia. Monday one extra day holiday nia. Well, it's better than none at all. How bout u guys? Got take leave go anywhere holiday?

So how's everyone lately? Recently still got meet up with guys like Vern, CheeSon, Lowkei, Kelvin, PeiLi..and the norms like IanCing, YewFatt, and JoshuaNg(ahem), so know that they are doing fine. Others memang quite long time din c d. Just kadang-kala receive emails from SueiHuey with a whole bunch of forwarded chats(haha!) using company email addresses. Memang gaya. Okla, nowdays working d all must use company email forward mails issit? Anyway, me n elaine working for hotmail(sometimes for yahoo! oso), so u see our current address up there is not error oh..hehe.

HEROES and Prison Break is back with new seasons. Waiting for LOST though. Prison Break still ok, but HEROES feel like nothing much new nia. "Save the Cheerleader, save the World". So the world is saved d..wat now? Got watch Naruto oso. Still sibeh slow the story progress. Paria wan. Sakura n the old lady fight the Scorpion fellar oso need so many episodes.

Haih..seriously feel so nothing to write about. Last time memang semangat. Cincai sit down 10 minutes oso can type sibeh alot. Now almost half hour d type like this nia. 1:34am d. I better go read my Harry Potter. Haha..yeah..haven't finish ler. Now 400+ pages nia. But kanchiong d. Read until Harry n gang baru breakout from Gringotts. Syiok!

Now the book should be should sell at rm109. Now hypermart give discount sell at 69. Book stores decide to "maintain their integrity" so they won't sell the book. WAT THE FUCK?!?

So by earning ur loyal customers money by a higher margin u are "maintaining ur integrity"? Means u memang suppose tiok ur customers issit? Wah piang, i is sibeh tak faham when i read the words in the newspaper. Thought maybe is some language error or something. But no.

So the official release date(21st July 2007) came and gone. The Small Potatoes did did not sell the books(although pre-oder ppl can still get their copies), and the Big Brothers did sell at rm69.90.

WHAT I DID:
Bought a copy at rm69.90 at the convenient Tesco near my house and went to Popular(not so near my house) to refund my rm50.00 deposit. Well, 109-69 = rm40. It's damn worth it k. Furthermore, confirm dowan let paria ppl tiok my money. Hard earned money okay. 1st harry potter book bought with own money. Haha.

p/s : According to this, the Small Potatoes will discuss 2ml wat are their future actions wor. And the worst sceneario would be to return their books to the publisher.

WHAT I THINK:
Aiyar, i think they sure decide continue sell the books wan la. Integrity shit all. And if they decide to return the books, I think Penguin will be more than happy to accept them(thus forfeiting their down payment(<-- this one i come up myself wan..haha)) and sell the quantity to the Big Brothers. Then the Big Bros maybe now mark-up abit la..say rm89 sell to customers..haha.

Oh fuck, 2ml Monday again. You all got feel weekend passes very fast ma? Tanpa disedari now oredi Sunday 11:45pm. In less than 8hrs time need go work d. Dunno y suddenly like so huai nian study life. Actually study life quite syiok rite? Besides exams noneed worry bout anything liao. Then quite lepak oso. Dun feel wan go class just dun go.

Hi lengzais lengluis. Apa macam. Busy ar? Start working d anot?

For me, worked for a total of 6 days d. Time flies. It's the weekend again. Haven't been blogging for the longest time. Boh-huat. Work come back d..damn tired. Where got mood do anything else?

Come, let me tell u something about my work. 1st hor, i need drive around 45mins to work lor. 50KMs one way. Ok..petrol money i is dun really mind wan. Buthen hor, need pass 3 tolls. Damn tulan. Chongchi one month RM600 gone for petrol n toll d..WALAN! Haha, u all sure scold me bodoh do this kinda things wan. But again. Boh-huat. Too like stay at home d. Somore mom quite a good cook. So..boh-huat ler. =)

Then hor, work really abit the pressure. It's not ppl give u pressure ler. It's ownself give ownself pressure. "Nei yao ngat lek, ngo dou yao ngat lek" they say. Coz the things that i'm suppose to do abit the out of my scope can? Although i'm quite interested in it but..walan..can die. So everyday for the past few days it's all about learning. Haha, i know. U all sure wondering WTF am i tokking about rite? "Do wat job?" u might ask. But to protect the author from unwanted "threat/disturbance" from work, my job shall be highly confidential..wakaka! See, i didn't even tell u where i am working. 50KMs to where rite? Wakaka!

Haih, i oso dunno y i'm writing all these bull-shits. Chongchi sebagai conclusion now work is scared scared ler. Scared dunno how to do then make the whole project fail..haha. Hopefully it'll get better overtime. Dunno y baru work one week keep thinking of end of month get paid..haha. This definitely proves that i'm not working material. DIE. =(

Bangkok/Pattaya Trip

Small talk : It has been 3 weeks since my last post. Sincere apologies to SweetCheeks and H.C. Tan..haha.

Hey there. How have you been doing? Sien hor? Haha. Anyway, remember my plane-in-utm-featuring-iancing post? The planes there are in the Mechanical-Aeronautics Faculty there(the place where HC jiejie studied!!!). Must give credit u see..haha.

A week from today(next Friday), yours truly will start work in Company P liao. Like Deriku says, "Happy Enslavement!"..haha. Tak sangka zaman persekolahan passed just like that and now need earn money liao. Hopefully everything goes well there.

I just returned from a graduation trip to Bangkok/Pattaya. It was a one-week trip and for me it was ok nia(most probably b'coz i was sick there..haih). But for the girls, WUHOO..so syiok man. Shopping till not enough Baht. Must exchange more somore..keng!

Unlike usual where I show you a series of 25+ photos(haha!), I'm just gonna show some interesting ones nia. I think if i posted all the photos that were taken there(6 cameras), i might need upload 2000+ photos..in which i will die.

This is the hotel which we stayed during the 2-nites in Pattaya. It is called A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel which is shaped like a ship. Damn cekap this hotel, MUCH nicer than the one we stayed in Bangkok.

My heartfelt apologies to my readers (esp. YinTing) for the lag of updates. I was quite occupied lately with final exams and thesis production. But those are all history now. Everything is DONE! The only thing left is submitting my thesis to the university and that'll be asta la vista to uni life. Can you imagine? 5 YEARS..PIPUPIPU..GONE!

This glorious month of May 2007 will signal the end of a meaningful chapter in my life and I can't help but feel happy and sad at the same time. I'm happy coz something is achieved (the degree) after some "hard labour" (5 years is hard ok). I'm sad coz I'll definitely miss everything here..especially my friends. After this, everyone will be commencing their working life and quite naturally..separated all over the country. Guess I can't call y'all for a quick supper anymore, huh? Hehe.

Actually, I've got this important announcement to make. This post, will be the last post from me (at least for now). Coinciding with the finale of uni life, I feel that this blog should get a "break" too. As you all might know, my blog is mainly about my uni life and friends and my readers are mainly my coursemates. After this, I'm not really sure what I should write about anymore and I'm not even sure if anybody's gonna read 'em..haha.

What I wanna say is, this is only a "comma" to my blog, not a "full stop". This is still my online diary and maybe after this I'll write about something meaningful to me only. I can't see myself blogging about working life because it should be quite boring (and it can be dangerous to do so too). So to my dear readers, if you all are still interested, maybe y'all can still frequent this blog once in a while to see how E-quan's doing..hehe.

There's so SO MUCH to be missed here. I can't imagine in a few days time I'll be leaving this place for good. I guess that day will be a gloomy day for me..a very gloomy one indeed. =(

RFID Enhanced Library System

If you chance upon this post without being my usual reader, it is most likely you came here from reading my thesis. That's GREAT! I provided a link in my thesis to here for people who want to try out the program that I have written.

My Final Year Project is entitled "RFID Enhanced Library System" and I've created the system using VB.NET and SQL Server.

Installation requirements:
1. Of course to test the system thoroughly you would have to have an RFID reader. If not you can only play play with the GUI.
2. VB.NET framework (can auto download upon setup).
3. Microsoft SQL Server engine (can auto downlaod upon setup).

Hi all. U know wat..the final lecture of my entire degree course in uni IS OVER! Now waiting to make my fyp presentation n sit for final exams nia. After that..asta la vista babe!

I need take one subject called "Engineering Ethics" this sem n just last wednesday we had a Ethics Talk by an experienced/old/rich man from the industry. Nevermind about the talk, but it was held in a block called N24 where there is this largest lecture hall in utm (i think). I thought since we never take photo there b4 so might as well take some as remembrance. So there u go..

I was given an integration(kamiran) formula to get the volume of a cone. Then the question is not called u solve the kamiran, but expren y the kamiran like this. AIYOYO..so easy rite u might say. But i suddenly dunno leh. Then the guy clue me in i still dunno..so damn cha. Haih..i feel so memalukan UTM ler..serious.

Yo yo. So nobody ffk on movie day ler..so happy! But Mr. Bean wasn't that spectacular ler. Paiseh ha..waste all of ur monies onli. rm11 can eat alot things oredi..ahaha! Ean-jie somore go watch 300 after Bean..so syiok. 2 persons..rm44 d..huiyoh.

Today is Tuesday, 2:05am. I think by tonite will naik bus balik Klang d. Then sunday onli come back JB..wah..SYIOK! Actually got 2nd interview with Company P again on friday afternoon. Then need do Passport oso. Grad trip go Bangkok leh..yauyeng. Then weekend go back parents' hometown for Qing Ming. Macam busy aje..aiseh.

Then got one lecturer just HAVE TO make a quiz this friday..wan ye nia. Actually she damn wan ye whole sem..paria wan. So reschedule with her take the quiz later the next monday. Hope the quiz same paper ler..then cekap liao. =)

So that'll probably sum up my week liao. Now need return back to my report writing. Class at 8am. Slept from 7pm to 12am just now..smarty pants. Guess will be going to class straight. Champion.

I can't understand if some1 can dun like Sing-yeh's works..WHERE GOT MUNGKIN?!? Almost all his work are classics(minus KungFu Hustle..hehe). But what i like MOST about his movies is: He sure incorporate some music/songs into his movies to make them really memorable. I give u some examples:

Ho ho ho..merry X'mas. Opps. My internet finally ok d. From the info i've received they've(TMnut) changed the port. The port is shared by 4 houses so 4 houses were affected.
As of now, my connection is going at a superb rate..if it's still like this after the 4 houses ON at full blasts..the conclusion can onli be :
"We've been using a cb port and have cb connection for the past 3 years..cb tmnut!"

Now let me share my Chinese New Year experience with u all. I know it's damn DAMN belated but who cares rite? It's not like i have 20,000 visitors a day. More like 10,000 for 1 1/2 years..yeah!

My New Phone

Small talk : After watching the Muar Youtube, i have one question. Why are monkeys called "Lao Gao"? Any Hokkien-lang care to clarify?

Recently(26/2/07) i finally bought a new phone to replace my beloved nokia3310. I seriously wouldn't have abandoned my 3310 if i didn't have to. My 5-year-old phone was giving me 2 major problems :

#1. I had to recharge my phone after one conversation session. I know this has more to do with the battery but i've changed a few oredi n they dun seem to fix much.

#2. My sim card contact list memory is full(250 contacts) and my phone doesn't have memory for phonebook(damn). Actually this problem has occured quite long liao. Everytime need add new contact need find other old contact to be replaced. Then got ppl like YeeChong who has more than 3 numbers really cause alot problems..haha.

So after doing much research(lowyat.net is damn cekap), i got myself a Sony Ericsson J230i! This phone is ANYTHING BUT FANTASTIC but after consulting with my wallet, this will have to do..at least for now(the J230i onli costs rm245). Furthermore, it does solve all my problems..phew.

It's smaller in size n much lighter.

Come, as a 3310 user changing to a new phone, let me describe my excitement as though i was a small girl.
- Wah..the screen..wah..wahh...wahhhhhHH...GOT COLOUR wan leh!
- Got polyphonic ringtone. Inside somore got one ahbeng tet-no ringtone called "Barcelona".
- Got speakerphone..yeah!
- Can put 500 contacts(i think) in the phone.
- Dun have to empty my inbox everytime.
- Onli need to charge my phone every 4 days(ppl seldom call me..ren yuan bu hao).

Most importantly..got radio leh!

On the down side
- No camera.
- No mp3.
- No blue-tut.
- No infrared.
- No external storage.
- No shit!

On the other hand,

My bro say the phone is got abit orange colour exterior make ppl have false impression that it is WALKMAN-enabled..haha. I'm supposed to be happy or sad?

What i miss about my dearest 3310.
- My first phone.
- Durable. No matter how u drop SURE won't spoilt wan.
- 3310 keypads are the best..EVAR!
- Can't use it as a brick to throw at dogs anymore.

Haha..this post is exactly 1 month belated.

Not many years ago(huiyoh..so smart), a super cute baby was born into this world n was named Elaine(or "Yee Leng" in cantonese for "easy to carry"). Not many years now, it's her birthday and it's a cause to celebrate..coz the super cute baby is still CUTE!
*Wah..i can't believe i am capable of writing such mushy stuff.

So as usual these kinda special dates need spend ppl sui sui dinner at some cekap restaurant wan. We opted for George & Dragon Cafe which is located in JB.

I pula order a black pepper lamb chop. I absolutely love black pepper lambs.

Somore got chocolate cake as dessert..so syiok onli. Got warm it b4 serve wan.

See..dun that "SINGER" sign looks familiar? Their tables are made from sewing machines! I know ur mom got one at home wan.
